Weekly match reports
Email your weekly match reports using the link on the Contact us page. Please do this by the Sunday evening, if at all possible! Include the following details: • Round (eg. Round 1) • Team age group (eg. U11s) • Date played • Opponents (eg. Dural Blue) • Score (eg. Redfield 42 - Dural 12) • Player-of-the-match (if applicable) • 3-2-1 points distribution (if applicable) • Match write-up (see below) Write-up tips: 1. Ideally, the task of preparing the write-up should not fall to the coach! A good idea is for the manager to roster the parents to do this (similar to jersey washing) so that it does not become too much of a burden for one person and so more parents get involved! 2. Whoever has this task should watch the game with pen and paper in hand, making notes as the game goes on. This makes it a lot easier to finalise and submit the report by the end of the weekend, as well as making sure you don't forget to include important details. 3. Don't write a novel! If you do, you set a standard that is VERY HARD to maintain throughout the comp! A brief description of how the play generally went - highlights - lowlights - etc., in addition to the other details listed above, is sufficient. 4. For the younger ages (up to 9s), it is probably a good idea to try and find an excuse to mention EVERY player's name! |
